What a week!

What a long, busy week this has been. David left for Boston Monday morning. The kids have really gotten used to having him around and this threw all of them for a loop. I had a mystery shop in Elgin to do, not a big deal. But to beat all it rained and rained so they were stuck inside.

Tuesday, took some planning. I had 2 mystery shops to do in McHenry, drive home the choir carpool; that consists of 5 LOUD 6th/7th grade girls. Got home in time to meet the boys' bus. Got to Crystal Lake before traffic got bad and feed them McDonalds for dinner. Mother-of-the-Year, I know. Got Will to gymnastics at 5 and stayed to watch. It is really neat to watch the things he can do, holy cow! And he loves it! Then we raced back to Lake in the Hills for choir at church for Caitlin, Aaron and Evan. Will and I headed out to grab a cup of coffee, aahhh, a respite. Then we got back in time to get the three out of choir and head to Sacrament class. Got home about 8 and started, yes, I said, started homework. Kids didn't get in bed until 9:30 (or later) and were slow moving Wednesday morning.

But all we had Wednesday night was Religious Ed, right? Ummm, no. Caitlin can't play speedball in gym, she has to PLAY. They were off site at an indoor sports arena for gym class. She fell and landed on her left forearm. Not a huge deal, until, some boy decided to trounce on it as they were going for the ball. She told no one at school as it was the last period of the day and didn't want to bother anyone.

With Dave being out of town I decided to wait to take her for x-rays, I know, another Mother-of-the-Year moment. So she and I went to read with Evan's class yesterday, which was priceless and headed for x-rays. They were negative, thank goodness! She is not allowed to do any sporting activities or PE for two weeks. Ya'll better pray for me. I caught her on a swing yesterday and on the exercise ball last night! I sent her on her way this morning with notes in hand. Think I will email the PE teacher and make sure she turned them in!

Dave flew back in last night, thank goodness! The kids were bouncing off the walls when he walked in and he loved it!

Looking forward to pumpkin carving this weekend, another happening ya'll might want to pray about and the kids are singing at mass tomorrow for the first time. Can't wait to see them! You think they would be embarrassed if I bring a camera to take pictures in church? Hee-hee-hee!!!

Happy Weekend!
